Post-pandemic-born start-up, konfetti, has just raised €2M from investors in a seed-funding round to scale its efforts. With approximately 16 employees already employed, Techfundingnews.com explains that the ‘‘German company will use the funds to add more features to its platform and SaaS products, as well as fuel expansion’’.
Being the go-to booking platform for local classes and activities, team building experiences and gifts, Berlin-based konfetti leads the way by digitizing a predominantly technology-free industry and shaping a new way in which local workshops and their customers connect (LinkedIn/gokonfetti).
Globally, the COVID-19 pandemic forced companies to shift to hybrid work models, such as delivery platforms operating within the wider ‘gig economy’. Consequently, the reduced face-to-face contact between employees has weakened team dynamics and corporate culture.
Team events, however, have proven to unify employees and strengthen personal identification within companies. As such, konfetti has identified a gap in the market for local workshops and team-building events.
konfetti CEO and co-founder, Tobias Fezer, stated exactly why their business model has gained interest and traction. “Paper and pen, phone and email are no longer up to date and customer-oriented. We solve exactly that and by integrating the konfetti checkout, course providers can extend their website with a powerful online store.”
In September 2021, konfetti announced a pre-seed financing round including founders from HelloFresh (Thomas Griesel and Dominik Richter), Gorillas founder (Jörg Kattner), early-stage investor Shio Capital, Zenjob founders (Frederik Fahning, and Fritz Trott und Cihan Aksakal), Amazon Manager Markus Meel, entrepreneur Martin Axnick, and entrepreneur Ludwig Cramer-Klett.
Founded by Tobias Fezer and Wolfgang Mauer in 2021, konfetti is the platform for local courses and team events. The company’s SaaS solution enables workshop providers to extend their websites with an efficient online shop.
Numerous event categories can be found on the platform: Cooking classes, painting classes, pottery classes, DIY workshops, wine tastings, and much more.
Users can now find and book workshops in more than 250 cities. Currently, more than 750 partners in Germany and Austria use konfetti and market more than 3,000 classes and events via the platform.
“There are already about 70 categories, including cooking classes, baking workshops, pottery classes, painting classes, cocktail workshops, and tastings,” says Wolfgang Mauer.
konfetti enables suppliers to manage their business and increase their sales with all-in-one software.
Already, more than 750 partners in Germany and Austria use konfetti and market more than 3,000 classes and events via the platform. Users can now find and book workshops in more than 250 cities.
